An amateur theatrical club in Cambridge, England, founded in 1883 and run by the students of Cambridge University. Commonly referred to simply as the Footlights.
In the 1960s it evolved into a major force in British Comedy.
They toured South Africa in 196*, at the instigation of Stephen Gray.???***
