The Lady of Belmont (1925) by English playwright St John Ervine (1883-*). In this play the characters of The Merchant of Venice were carried a stage further on their life’s journey. Presented by the [[Johannesburg Repertory Society|Repertory Players in the Standard Theatre, starring Seals Wood, Elsie Salomon, G. Absalom, D.J. Louw, O. Lazar, F. Marx as Narissa. Directed by Ethel Mann. March 1929.
