Die Indringer ("The Intruder"). See The Outsider by Dorothy Brandon

Die Indringer, original title L'intruse (1890), ("The Intruder") by Maurice Maeterlinck (1862-1949). The title of the play introduces us to death, the intruder in the family circle. The Afrikaans translation by W.E.G. Louw and N.P. van Wyk Louw. Performed at the Little Theatre Cape Town in translation by members of the Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging in 1935 for the University of Cape Town branch of the Afrikaanse Nasionale Studentebond. Directed by Marguerite Murray, with W.E.G. Louw as stage manager.

An English version of Maeterlinck's play, titled The Intruder, was performed at the National Arts Festival, 1997, directed by Lindsay Reardon.
