Most likely a Dutch translation of a tragedy in 5 acts by Johann Christian Brandes. Originally written and published in 1766 as Miss Fanny, later renamed play Der Schiffbruch ("The Shipwreck") , and published in 1791.

Publisher: [N.p.] 1766. Brandes, Johann Christian (Stettin, 1735-99, Berlin), became an actor in 1755. A spell of acting in Breslau (1762-3) coincided with Lessing's sojourn there, and brought him fresh stimulus. He had already written the comedies Der Zweifler (1760) and Die Entführung (1761). In 1766 he ventured on a tragedy, Miss Fanny (which he later entitled Der Schiffbruch); this was followed by Olivie (1775), Die Medicäer (1776), Ottilie (1780), Hans von Zernow (1785), and Rahel die schöne Jüdin (1789). Brandes also provided the libretto for a once-famous opera by the Bohemian composer G. Benda (1722-95), Ariadne auf Naxos (1774). His autobiography, Meine Lebensgeschichte, appeared in 1799 and 1800. His Sämtliche dramatische Schriften (8 vols.) appeared 1790 ff.
