The Jar, (La Giara (1909), originally a short story) by Luigi Pirandello (1867-1936). The storyline offers a Sicily of sunshine, countryside, song and eccentrics.

In South Africa the play was produced by PACOFS in 1974, directed by Jannie Gildenhuys starring, among others, Wim Vorster.
