The pseudonym of an anti-theatrical campaigner in Cape Town, who wrote an article - "Iets over het dansen en de Toneelspelen" ("Something on Danse and Play-acting") in the influential journal, the Nederduitsch Zuid-Afrikaansch Tydschrift, with which he attacked the children's theatre of J. Suasso de Lima. This was the real beginning of the Anti-theatrical Movement in Cape Town, which would ultimately lead to the closing of the African Theatre.
