The acronym for the South African Committee of Performing Arts Councils
The organisation
, a co-ordinating body set up in the 1980s to deal with joint issues of the five Performing Arts Councils. Have also found references to it as the South African Co-ordinating Council of Performing Arts Councils. (SACCPAC??), though this appears unlikely, since the acronym used all along seems to have been SACPAC
The Afrikaans version of the acronym is SAKRUK.
The SACPAC Prize
The committee ceased top exist when the councils themselves were closed down by the new government in the 1990s.
