(b. 1903?) British actor. Like his co-star Molly Adair, Arthur Pusey came out to South Africa in 1922 to act in the first screen adaptation of H. De Vere Stacpoole’s The Blue Lagoon (Dick Cruikshanks & William Bowden/1923), playing the older Dick to Molly Adair’s Emmeline. He had already made at least six films before this and returned to Europe to act in productions in Great Britain, France and Germany, including one by Robert Wiene and two by Walter Forde. He also made irregular stage appearances between 1923 and 1949. Between 1924 and 1933 he was married to Australian “comedy actress” Adrienne Brune, who had toured South Africa under the name Billie Browne.
