The Hollandse Saal (“Dutch Hall”), former home of the University of Stellenbosch's Chemistry Department, became the first home for the Stellenbosch University Drama Department in 19**. It had a hall used for performances. The building was demolished and the same site used to build the H.B. Thom Theatre in 1966.
