HUTCHINSON, Arthur. (1923-1980). Expatriate South African author of Fusane’s Trial (1972), The Road to Ghana, and the four-acter The Rain-Killers, all of which were banned in South Africa. Born in the Eastern Transvaal and educated at Fort Hare University. A leading concern in his plays is the tension between traditional and new ways of thought.*** [JH]
