HAGEMANN, Fred (19**-) Dancer, choreographer, educationist and movement lecturer. Studied at the University of Natal’s Department of Drama in Durban. *** Became lecturer in movement at the School of Speech and Drama, University of the Witwatersrand in 19*** and in 19** became chair of the Department. An influential teacher and theorist, he completed a doctorate on*** in 19**. Made Associate Prof in 19**. In 2003, after his retirement from WITS, appointed head of Drama at the University of Pretoria.
