FREUND, Minna. (19**-1938) Born in Germany, educated in South Africa and Scotland. Studied drama under the British speech teacher Elsie Fogarty at the , Central School of Speech & Drama, London. In Cape Town she coached actors for Prof ** Bell's first production (Everyman) at the Stal Plein Hotel - which at the time was the home of the University of Cape Town College of Music. When the Little Theatre was founded by Bell, she was appointed head of Speech Training. Mother of Betty (Freund) Hugo.
