Came to South Africa in 1959, originally from Ireland.

He played a small part ("Uncle Joe") in The Amorous Prawn in their September 1961 run. He was also the stage manager for this production.
Up until 1961 he had worked for several managements, including NTO, Ricky Arden Productions, the Alexander Theatre,
