Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Renaye was not only closely involved with her husband's amazing journey as a solo artist, but his partner and business manager for most of his theatrical projects, including the Dock Road Theatre and David Kramer Productions.
As a producer she was responsible for many of his many own projects (see the entry on David Kramer) as well as the celebrated works he did with Taliep Petersen, such as the influential District Six – The Musical, Fairyland (1990), Crooners (1992), Poison (1992), Kat and the Kings (1995), Klop Klop (1996) and Ghoema (2005).
Although much of her work took place behind the scenes, her influence extended from local theatre stages to London’s West End and Broadway.
