The original text
Set in a lonely country house where three brewery heiress sisters and their loyal servant, Rudolf, spend their summers. Rudolf has had secret, tender affairs with each of the three sisters without the others knowing. Each sister promised to write him into her will. When Rudolf begins making demands, a lethal game of intrigue and greed unfolds.
It premiered in 1968.
