Kaap ("Cape") is an Afrikaans drama set in Cape Town, engaging the sound, colour and colonial history of the city. The author has said that although it looks at these, it concerns a great deal more than theft.

The original text
Written in 2019 on the first writers' residency of the NATi Jong Sterre programme and the Jakes Gerwel Foundation, held at Paulet House in the Eastern Cape, under the mentorship of Amy Jephta. The text received a NATi Jong Sterre award in 2020, although sources differ on the category*. No published text has been traced*.

Performance history in South Africa
2020: Presented as a staged reading in the NATi Jong Sterre programme at the Suidoosterfees, Cape Town, 21-22 November, alongside texts by the other participants in the residency.
A full production, on which the author was working with the actress and director Lee-Ann van Rooy in 2023, has not been traced*.
