All That's Left: Four Playscripts is a collection of plays by Gibson Mtutuzeli Kente, edited by Robert Mshengu Kavanagh.


The collection

The collection is made up of four surviving scripts from the more than 60 productions Kente had written, set in the tumultuous years leading up to the 1976 Soweto Uprising. Pubblished (Volume 4 of the Selected Plays series) is The collection features the following texts:

Sikalo: The only play in the volume based on Kente's authentic original script.Lifa: Put together from memory by the actors after Kente's passing.How Long: A reconstructed script recalled by his theatre troupe.Too Late: A reconstructed script that captures the energy of Kente's banned theatrical eras.The book contains detailed introductions and rare, surviving photographs of the original stage scenes.
