A short little Afrikaans playtext, satirising the sentencing of a Afrikaans speaking criminal by an English speaking magistrate, with the court translator purposely misrepresenting everything. Published in Het Zuid-Westen, Oudtshoorn on 6 February, 1911, the author writing as "Credo Exacto". Widely and often produced by amateur and school companies over the years.
