Hans Huyssen (1964-) is a composer.

Biography

Born in Pretoria in 1964. Huyssen grew up in a German-speaking environment in Pretoria, exposed mainly to European culture.

Training

Huyssen studied cello and composition at Stellenbosch University, and then went to Salzburg from 1986 to 2000 where he furthered his skills as baroque cellist and composer, and to Munich in 1992 to complete a Masters degree in composition.

Career

He wrote the opera Masque (2005)
