The Akademiespelers ("Academy Players", 1975-1986) was an amateur theatrical society for students and alumni of the ADK, co-founded in 1975 by Danie Botha, .

They regularly put on plays in the intimate venue called Die Kamer ("The Room"), a space used for a variety of presentations, inter alia kabarette (cabarets) by Gerard Scholtz, new dramas , etc. The company also took children’s theatre on tour to towns in the Boland. The society became defunct in 1986.
