Horatius can refer to a diverse range of people and items, including the famous Roman lyric poet (65 BC- 8 BC)[1]; to Horatius Cocles[2] the legendary soldier; to the English title of the French play Horace by Pierre Corneille; or to the nom de plume used by a South African author and playwright I.G. Horak.

Horatius the play

Written by the French dramatist Pierre Corneille (1606 - 1684), with the title Horace[3], first performed in 1680 and published in 1641. Translated into English under the title Horatius.
