René van Zyl is a theatre director, writer, playwright, journalist, children’s worker/ creator of children’s church curriculums, blogger.

Biography

Born René Joubert in Pretoria on 26 February 1965, she attended Baillie Park Laerskool and the Hoër Volkskool Potchefstroom (1972-1982) then attended the Noordwes University (1983 – 1986), completing a BA Communications (Hons) specializing in media studies and journalism. Westminster University, London (April 2008) Masterclass. Story: Style, Structure, Substance, and the Principles of Screenwriting. By Robert Mc Kee. Noordwes University: (2016 & 2019) Attended: ATKV/Lapa writers workshops: Romance writing & Youth novel writing and is (Néé Joubert) Current town: Hartbeespoort NW
