Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and performance
George Mountjoy was chair and president of the Arts Theatre Club in East London for many years.
As an actor, he appeared in many productions, including: Jack and the Beanstalk (1980), White Horse Inn (1984), Listen to the Wind (1985), The Wizard of Oz (1986), Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood (1988)
As a director, productions include: Grease (1987), Max's Egg (1990), Peter Pan (1993)
He was also musical director for Winnie-the-Pooh (1984)
