Jeremiah Schulman

Jeremiah Schulman was a musician, violin teacher, and the Musical Director at the South African Broadcasting Corporation.

Biography and Education

Born in London in 1896 and educated at the Baker Street School. He had private musical tuition lessons.

General career

Schulman came to South Africa in 1915 and settled in Berea, Johannesburg. In 1920 he married Julia Purkiss with whom he had two children. He was the Secretary of the Johannesburg Musical Association.

Operas conducted by Schulman include:
