Mgewu Ndini is a play by Gibson Kente (1932-2004).

The original text

The play centres around a boy who is a ‘won’t work’, so much is this boy a problem that his father wishes the boy could die.

Performance history in South Africa

First performed in 1990. Cast members included: Kholofela Kola, Jabu Nkosi and Sandile Dlamini. The lead guitar was played by Peter Molobedi and the bass by Themba Mokoena.
