Zakheni Cultural Group was based in Dobsonville. The Zakheni Cultural Group was also involved in youth training programmes in music and dance.

This group performed a “docu-drama” entitled Living in Fear by Boy Bangela. They called it an anti-violence production with tragic inter-organisational conflicts forming the integral part of the story line. Bangela's previous plays were Children of Buntu and Ma it’s You. Bangela’s productions were performed in Dobsonville, at the Open School in Johannesburg and at the Standard Bank National Arts Festival.
