Toerien-Rubin-Firth (1969-1970)

The company

In 1969 Pieter Toerien and Basil Rubin went into partnership with Shirley Firth, to become the new management of the Intimate Theatre. Their first co-production was The Secretary Bird (directed by Kerry Jordan with Jeremy Hawk, Shelagh Holliday, Ivan Berold and Shirley Firth).

In 1970 the company staged Anthony Shaffer’s thriller Sleuth, starring Ralph Michael and Nicholas Amer, and directed by Warren Jenkins.
