The original text

A sprawling pro-Boer play in five acts and six tableaux, its various scenes are set in South Africa, London and Paris in the war years and the death of Queen Victoria, touching on a number of themes including solidarity between the French and the Boer nation, and hate of the British.

Published by Librairie Arthème Fayard in 1902.
