Afrikaanse Taalvereniging (ATV)

AFRIKAANSE TAALVERENIGING (ATV - “Afrikaans Language Society”). Afrikaans cultural association, which through its various branches promoted amateur performances of Afrikaans plays. In this regard, the Cape Town and Stellenbosch branches (the latter of which was comprised largely by University-people) were particularly active by 1912 and later, after humble beginnings in 1906 ??**.
