Neil Feiling was born in England.

Biography

He studied conducting, the piano and violin at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Naples conservatoire and San Carlo Opera House after which he conducted ballet and opera in Italy and Australia. He has conducted many London orchestras. Until he came to South Africa he was associate conductor for "The Great Waltz" a musical based on the life of Johann Strauss, at Drury Lane Theatre.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He was the musical director in West Side Story.
