‘’Sommer So!’’ is an Afrikaans cabaret devised by Darryl Nel (1972- ) with text by Martelize Kolver.

The original text

The show is a nostalgic tribute, featuring traditional Afrikaans songs alongside music popularised by Laurika Rauch, Anton Goosen, David Kramer, Coenie de Villiers and more.

Performance history in South Africa

The production was produced by DSN Productions, directed by Darryl Nel, and first performed at The Barn in June 2003. It was also performed at the Guild Theatre in East London in March 2004. The cast included Darryl Nel, Niqui Cloete-Barrass, Marelize Marx and Marelize Booyens with the text performed by Martelize Kolver.
