Gregoire Boonzaier

Gregoire Boonzaier (1909-2005)[1] was a famed South African painter, book illustrator and occasional set designer and painter.

Born in 1909, the son of D.C. Boonzaier,

He usually signed his paintings Gregoire, and besides his prolific output as painter, also did some set designs and backdrops for theatre productions and covers and illustrations for published versions of Afrikaans literary works and plays.
