The Good and Obedient Young Man is a one-act play by Betty Barr and Gould Stevens.

The original text

Subtitled A Play in the Japanese Manner, it was first published by Samuel French in 1931.

1931: Performed by the Repertory Theatre Society, later known as the Cape Town Repertory Theatre Society, on 28 September in a double bill with Ile (O'Neill).
