Margit Meyer-Rödenbeck
Margit Meyer-Rödenbeck (1970-) Comedienne, actress, cabaret artiste, producer.
She is also widely known by her stage persona and alter ego, Dowwe Dolla. (meaning something like "dim-witted doll").

Biography
She was born in Paarl in 1970, matriculated in Durbanville and started her studies at the University of Stellenbosch Drama Department in 1988. She graduated with a B.A. (Hons) in 1991 and completed a master's degree in theatre management in 1997.
She is married to broadcasting engineer Jurg Human and they have a daughter, Luca.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she assisted Juanita Swanepoel in directing a UTS production of WAM (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) (1991).
While a student she and Pedro Kruger devised a few cabaret acts, including one featuring the now famous and beloved character Dowwe Dolla, which she had evolved for the show. The character went on to become a staple act in her stage career since 1992. The shows over the years have included Dowwe Dolla Krismisdoos, (1998), Dowwe Dolla Staatsslet (19**/200*), Dowwe Dolla (KKNK, 2008), Dowwe Dolla Dink Diep (2013).
Her other "alter ego" has become the character Liewe Heksie ("Dear little witch"), which she first perfo4rmed in a stage presnetation by the Drama Deparetment at Stellenbosch . She has since performed it in a range of productions of the iconic children's stories by Verna Vels

Apart from her stage work (children's theatre, cabaret, etc.), she works as radio presenter at Radio Punt and she is co-owner, with her husband , of Die Boer theatre restaurant [1] in Durbanville.
Awards, etc
She was the winner of a FNB Vita Award (Free State region, 2000/2001) in the category Best Performance in a Comedy for Dowwe Dolla.
