Wolf by the Ears is a play by Charles Dumas ()[1]

The original text

A full length, six character play based on the relationship between Sally Hemmings and Thomas Jefferson which takes place during a visit to Monticello by John Adams in 1811. A workshop production with students of the Stellenbosch Drama Department, the play premiered at the Grahamstown International Arts Festival in South Africa in 2003. This play was one of the five finalist for the best play by an African-American playwright in 2004.
