John Jacobs is a mime artist.

Biography
Born in Cape Town, he started out as a performer for his father's Cape Coons team, and then received a bursary from the French Consulate to study at the world renowned Marcel Marceau School of Mimicry in Paris. There he achieved great success under Marceau and established himself as a mime in Ffrance and South Africa.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
He founded the company John Jacobs Mime Entertainment
He is also works internationally on film sets to assist actors in the technique of fencing and movement.
