A Church Mouse (A templom egére) is a comedy in three acts by Hungarian novelist, playwright and screenwriter Ladislas Fodor (1898-1978) [1].

Translated into Afrikaans entitled Die Kerkmuis.

Film adaptations in Germany and the UK in the 1930s.

Performance history in South Africa

1946: Presented by Die Kunsteater in collaboration with African Consolidated Theatres, Die Kerkmuis produced by Ossip Runitsch at the Standard Theatre, Johannesburg, starring Berdine Grunewald, Esther Mentz, Johanna Nel, Gideon Roos, Frederick Burgers and Jan Cronjé, opening late October.
