Biography
Apart from acting, she is a professional showjumper. She used to be part owner (with Frank Opperman) of the Jazz club The Bassline in Mellville, Johannesburg in the late 1990s. She is a granddaughter of the late South African businessman Harry Oppenheimer [1].
Training
She graduated from Princeton University in 1992 after which she completed LAMDA's Classical Acting Programme.
Career
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She started her professional acting career in 1993 with a one-woman show My Brother Frederico at the Black Sun. She worked alongside Athol Fugard as he developed My Life and directed a production of the play at the Civic Theatre in 1994. Other productions include A Tale of Two Cities and A Conversation With Leonard, a one-woman show she wrote and performed at the Grahamstown Festival 1996. She played "Linda" in the 1997 production of Children of the Wolf.
She wrote the play Dreamsnatcher.
