Ralph van Pletzen (19**-). Actor and later well-known Stellenbosch restauranteur.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
A member of the Libertas Theatre Club, he also acted for the department of drama at the University of Stgellenbosch and professional companies. His stage roles included The Guise and The Resistable Rise of Arturo UI at The Space in the 1970s, Jan de Kock in Die Ryk Weduwee, CAPAB, 1976, **, ***.
Left acting to start his famous gourmet restaurant Ralph’s in Stellenbosch in the 1980s and pursue a career as chef.
