St. Columba's Recreation Club was an active club in Queenstown.
Contribution to South African Theatre
July 1947: Members of St. Columba's Recreation Club staged two performances of Emlyn Williams' The Late Christopher Bean. The play was produced by D Collins and starred Mrs. Ian Scott as "Gwenny, the Welsh maid," Bob Paxton as "Dr Haggett" the country doctor, and Cherry Commin as "Mrs Haggett".
