First performed at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket and the Park Theatre in 1838,
Published in New York by Samuel French (The Minor Drama XXVII, 1856) and De Witt Publishing House, 1857 (Issue 243 of De Witt's acting plays).

1866: Performed by the pupils of St Mary's Convent School[2], Cape Town, on 13 July, with The Royal Brothers (Anon.)
1875: Performed in the Bijou Theatre, Cape Town, by Disney Roebuck and his company on 21 July, with The Streets of London (Boucicault)
