Tommy Trinder (1909-1989) [1]. British comedian.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He first came out to star in African Theatres’ Christmas pantomime Cinderella in 1950. He subsequently returned to South Africa four times to appear in musical shows, the last time in 1967, when he appeared on the supporting bill for Vera Lynn, whom the Quibell Brothers had brought out for a second time.
