Barnstable is a play in one act by English playwright John Saunders (1925-2004) [1].

The original text

First broadcast on the 20th November 1959, on the BBC Third Programme, subsequently produced at the Questors Theatre, Ealing, with two other one-act plays on the 13th June 1960.

First published by Hutchinson Educational (London, England), 1961.

Performance history in South Africa

1964: Presented by the University of Cape Town's Speech and Drama Department at the Little Theatre in August, directed by Robert Mohr in a double bill with The Maids.
