No text by this name can be traced, but it is most probably simple a version of The Post Boy, the drama in two acts by H.T. Craven (1818-1905)[], that was first performed at the Strand Theatre (under the Management of Miss Swanborough), on 31 October, 1860 and published by Thomas Hailes Lacy in the same year.

Performance history in South Africa
1875: A play billed as The Old Post Boy was performed by Disney Roebuck and his company in the Bijou Theatre, Cape Town, on 4 August, with Aladdin, or The Wonderful Scamp (Byron).
