Translated and adapted from Moser's (unnamed) German original by C.F van der Brugghen (Carel Theodorus van der Brugghen van Lauwenrecht, 1812-1878, sometimes also credited to "G.T. van der Brugghen")[1] in 1874. Title also found as Pappa gaf Permissie!.
Performed in Dutch by the association Kunst door Vriendschap in the Neerlandsch Koffiehuis in Leiden on 14 December 1874 and in the Leidse Schouwburg on 13 June, 1875.
The Dutch text published in Amsterdam by G. Theod. Bom in 1874.
Performance history in South Africa
1892: Performed by the rederijkerskamer Oefening Baart Kunst in Pretoria in March.
