Breaker Morant is a play in two acts by Kenneth G. Ross(1941-)[1].
The original text
The play is based on the trial of Harry "Breaker" Morant (1864–1902), an Anglo-Australian drover, horseman, bush poet and military officer, who was convicted and executed for murder during the Second Anglo-Boer War. (See also A Time to Die, a play by Brian O'Shaughnessy about the same historical events and characters.)
First performed at the Athenaeum Theatre, in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on Thursday, 2 February 1978, by the Melbourne Theatre Company.

Performance history in South Africa
1987: Performed at the Natal Playhouse, from 11 August to September by the NAPAC company. Directed by John Hussey, with André Jacobs as "Breaker Morant", Gavin van den Berg as "George Witton" and Iain Winter as "Peter Handcock".
