The Courland was a British mailship in the 1870s.
In the Cape Argus of 28 December, 1872, it was reported that, while anchored in Cape Town harbour, the passengers and officers of the mailship Courland are reported as having presented a very successful "farcical charade" on board on Christmas Eve, the entertainment based on the word "Indignation", a piece reportedly written by a Mr Gibbs.
