Ons Land is also the name of a bi-weekly newspaper which was published in Port Elizabeth.
("Our Land"). A Dutch-Afrikaans cultural journal, founded in 1892 (amalgamated with De Zuid-Afrikaan from 1894). Aimed at cultural, dramatic and debating societies. As part of its effort to promote culture in the country, it published plays for production by the societies and also published news about their activities.
