The Little Sentinel is a comedietta in one act by Thomas J. Williams (1824-1874)[]

First performed at St James's Theatre, London on 4 May, 1863 and published in London by T.H. Lacy in the same year.

Performance history in South Africa

1866: Performed as The Little Sentinel by the Le Roy-Duret Company in the Theatre Royal, Harrington Street, Cape Town, on 12 September, with a new dance performance and a production of Governor van Noot, or Things as They Were (Utting). Possibly repeated on 13 and 17 September, on the latter occasion as a benefit evening for the author.
