Harriet Vernon
'Harriet Vernon' (1858-1923) was an English actress and singer.

Biography
Born Harriet Maria Whitehouse in Lambeth, London, she first appeared on stage professionally in January 1875 and went on to become a regular performer in music hall, Victorian burlesque and pantomime in the 1880s and 1890s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
In a career that spanned five decades, she also toured internationally, touring South Africa in 1896 and again in 1903.
